Scar Repair
In order to achieve an aesthetical improvement many scars may be treated with non-surgical methods, but in some other cases surgery is the better option.
The treatment solution depends from the origin of the scar, its localization, past treatments done on it, its actual state and the patient’s expectations.
Scar maturation takes about six months to make the skin more stable. There are pathological states correlated to the scars like hypertrophy, the transformation in keloid scars (very raised lesions which are uncomfrotable for the patient), or association with other lesion types.
The techniques used and the extent of the procedure are determined with each patient, based on their individual needs.
